South Asian Heritage Month Bristol is a community-led initiative born from a simple but powerful message: young people of South Asian heritage in Bristol felt unrepresented, and they wanted to change that. Behind it is a diverse team: people from a broad range of professional backgrounds, with lived experience of South Asian heritage, and allies who stand alongside them, brought together by that shared conviction. Together, local organisations, creatives and community partners are building something lasting: an annual, city-wide programme of events, learning, storytelling and cultural celebration every July, and forging connections between organisations that endure long beyond the month itself.

The team’s breadth of expertise and lived experience also makes them uniquely placed to offer insight and support to schools.
