Mosaic is a digital platform designed to support connected, consistent and high-quality teacher education by bringing people, practice and learning together in one place. Developed by Penrose Education and shaped through ongoing collaboration with universities and school-based providers, it responds to the complexity of teacher training, where multiple stakeholders support trainees across different settings.

Mosaic works by creating a shared environment where trainees, mentors and programme staff can access the same curriculum, guidance and expectations. Providers configure the platform to reflect their own curriculum and approach, enabling consistency in structure and expectations while supporting different placement contexts, subjects, phases and individual trainee needs. The platform enables structured feedback, reflective practice and communication, supporting timely and meaningful interaction between trainees, mentors and tutors.

In practice, Mosaic reduces administrative burden by decreasing reliance on fragmented processes such as emails and spreadsheets, while bringing key activity into a more joined-up environment. Features such as scheduled training plans, notifications and shared programme spaces help ensure that trainees and mentors know what is expected and when, without relying on separate systems or repeated communication.
