Global Equality Collective (GEC)
The Global Equality Collective (GEC) is a multi-award-winning research, technology and community organisation helping education systems turn lived experience into meaningful action.
Working across schools, trusts, local authorities, governments and education partners, the GEC supports leaders to strengthen Inclusion, Belonging and Wellbeing through evidence-informed practice and ethical innovation.
At the centre of this work is the GEC Platform — an award-winning Inclusion Intelligence platform designed to sit alongside existing organisational data. Through anonymous voice, inclusion diagnostics and actionable insights, it helps organisations move beyond understanding what is happening to explore why experiences and outcomes differ across communities.
Underpinning this work is Kaleidoscopic Data — a framework developed through doctoral research by Dr Nicole Ponsford that combines quantitative and qualitative insight to surface the nuanced, intersectional experiences traditional metrics often miss.
Today, the GEC Platform supports school, trust and regional Inclusion Champions across 30+ countries, helping shape experiences for over 250,000 learners. Complementing this, the GEC’s research programme has built an evidence base from more than 35,000 voices across staff, students, parents and carers, including through its national GEC Inclusion Index, a termly benchmark tracking lived experience trends across educational communities.
Alongside this, the GEC Circle brings together 400+ publicly listed experts and practitioners, creating opportunities for collaboration, research and system-wide change.
