Global Equality Collective (GEC)
We are the Global Equality Collective (GEC) – a multi-award-winning grassroots movement, research hub, and technology platform dedicated to transforming equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in education and beyond. With over 400 EDI experts and practitioners, we bring together lived experience, academic research, and innovative technology to close the gap between policy and practice.
At the heart of our work is the GEC Platform, a ground-breaking digital tool that surfaces the hidden voices of leaders, staff, and students. By combining survey data with actionable insights, we provide schools, trusts, and organisations with tailored recommendations to identify gaps, strengthen belonging, and drive intentional inclusion. Our original Kaleidoscopic Data framework underpins this work, humanising educational data so that intersectional experiences are captured, valued, and acted upon.
We believe inclusion is everyone’s responsibility. That’s why we equip leaders, educators, and communities with practical tools, research, and training to create meaningful, measurable change. Our global reach spans nurseries, schools, colleges, trusts, universities, and workplaces, offering a shared space for collaboration, learning, and accountability.
Recognised for our innovation and impact, we have partnered with governments, trusts, and leading organisations to shape more equitable futures. With the rallying call of the #InclusionRevolution, we are challenging inequality, amplifying diverse voices, and empowering communities to ensure that everyone is seen, heard, and valued.
Recognised as a trailblazer in EdTech and inclusion, the GEC Platform was named DEI Platform of the Year at both the Women in IT Awards and the Inclusive Awards. It was also Highly Commended for ‘Transformational Impact’ at the BETT Awards, and ranked in the top 10 of BusinessCloud’s EdTech 50 (2025).
Our first report, ‘26,000 Voices: What Students and Staff Really Think About Inclusion’ (2025), is the largest intersectional research study in education, surfacing hidden voices and showing what young people and educators need in order to truly belong and thrive.
Building on this, we launched the GEC Inclusion Index — a sector-first tool that helps leaders benchmark and track progress on equity, diversity and inclusion across schools and trusts.
The GEC has also been awarded the National Academy for Educational Leadership (NAEL) Innovation Grant in Wales, supporting national work on anti-racist and inclusive leadership, and continues to drive forward the #InclusionRevolution through research, technology, and community.
As the recognised hub for inclusion research and innovation, we are committed to ensuring every learner and educator is seen, heard, and empowered to thrive.
