Our Training Offer
We support leaders, line managers and talent managers in developing their consciousness, confidence and competence regarding how to recruit, develop and retain disabled people in the workplace.
We will identify the internal and external barriers that can hold disabled people back in their careers including the bias that they are faced with.
We will consider proactive strategies to support and develop disabled people in their career goals.
We can deliver face to face and virtually, for twilights, INSETs and conferences.
Our Training Session Includes
- Developing understanding of the national context for disabled employees
- Consolidating awareness of our legal responsibilities
- Exploring different impairments people can experience
- Discussing the responsibilities of HR departments and schools for staff who have disabilities
- Looking at practical strategies to create disability-conscious environments
- Considering different reasonable adjustments that employers can make to their workplaces
- Reflecting on the culture of safety needed for people to feel able to disclose their additional needs
- Debunking some of the harmful myths around disability
- Sharing a range of different support mechanisms and resources
- Discussing how to create a disability-conscious inclusive culture
