End Sexism in Schools

End Sexism in Schools is a grassroots charity working for a UK education system that is free of sexism and that allows all children to fulfil their potential. We want women and girls to have equivalent representation within the curriculum as men and boys and to have an equal share of school resources.

We are currently seeking equal representation of women and girls in schools’ curriculum content. We have been carrying out research quantifying the invisibility of women in this, we create resources and provide CPD for teachers to help them to diversify their lessons, and we partner with other organisations to tackle wider areas of gendered inequality, such as school uniform, sexist language.

See our published reports into gender bias in the English and History curricula at Key Stage 3 (pre-GCSEs) and English Key Stage 4 (GCSEs).
