Our Leading MHWB Programme

Our Leading MHWB Programme

Programme Context

Given that 8% of England’s young people were referred to CAMHS for support last year, but 31% did not meet support thresholds and 33% of those referred were waiting over a year for support, schools are often responsible for providing day-to-day interventions to support student mental health. (Children’s Commissioner’s report 2025)

Alongside this, according to Education Support’s Teacher Wellbeing Index 2025, 76% of school staff report feeling stressed, and 40% feel that their schools do not support colleagues who are struggling with their mental health well enough. This can mean that staff leave the profession prematurely, or are left feeling burnout and unable to do the job they love.

Programme Overview

This programme draws upon important themes from my book ‘How to create a meaningful mental health curriculum: a practical guide for schools’ and will provide practical strategies and tried-and-tested methods which can help to support the mental health and wellbeing of all members of the school community.

Our 6-part programme will support you throughout an academic year, through a half-termly virtual session. Each session will provide reflection points to consider and review your setting’s current mental health and wellbeing provision. There will also be time to ask any questions and discuss any relevant aspects of the session to support your setting to move forward on its mental health and wellbeing strategy.
